Importance of the Decision Making Concept - 879 Words
Decision Making Concept: Decision making is one of the most important aspects in life and work because of its strong link to success and effectiveness. Actually, successful people achieve their goals in life and work through effective and efficient decision making. The decision making process is usually guided by an individualââ¬â¢s beliefs, values, and attitudes as well concepts. While a person can use various concepts in making decisions, they should be very careful to select a concept that is effective and contributes to huge success. Nonetheless, these concepts exist to help an individual become a better decision maker in the world around him/her. Decision Making Concepts Resonating with Me: As previously mentioned, there are variousâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Moreover, this concept promotes the success of the decision through helping a person to reliably focus his/her attention on details that are likely to be overlooked, information that could probably be resisted, options that could have been neglected, and preparations that could have been ignored (Heath Heath, 2013, p.26). This contributes to consistent improvement in the decision making process and enhancing awareness of the need for decision making. An example of the application of this concept in the world around is associated with how it will change my thought process and behavior in the future. First, before making any decisions such as a career choice, I will examine various options and list possible careers that aligned with my passion, personality, values, and strengths. This will involve expanding the list to contain as many careers as I can think of or fr om conducted research. This will be followed by asking questions about every career option with regards to its requirements and probable benefits. This phase will be accompanied by overcoming short-term emotion and contradictory feelings through conducting information interviews to select the best career. The final process will involve preparing for unexpected future such as changes in the particular field.
